Why Quality Matters
The dietary supplement market in Kenya — and globally — has a counterfeiting problem. Fake products with diluted or missing active ingredients are sold through informal channels, social media, and unlicensed vendors. At PharmaPlus, we exist to solve this problem by creating a direct link between verified manufacturers and Kenyan customers.
Our Vetting Process
Before we add any product to our catalog, it goes through these checks:
Supply Chain
Our supply chain has no middlemen. Products move in a direct path:
This direct distribution model means every product you receive has been handled by exactly two parties — the manufacturer who produced it and PharmaPlus who stored and shipped it. There are no third-party resellers, no marketplace vendors, and no street hawkers in our chain. This is how we guarantee that what you receive is the original product.
Storage Conditions
Our Nairobi warehouse maintains controlled storage conditions as specified by each manufacturer. Supplements are stored away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry environment. Temperature-sensitive products (if applicable) are stored in climate-controlled areas. Stock is managed on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis to ensure freshness.
Batch Traceability
Every product we ship carries a batch number printed on the packaging by the manufacturer. This batch number links the product to a specific production run, including the date of manufacture, ingredient sources, and laboratory test results. If any issue arises with a specific batch, we can trace and recall affected products.
What We Don't Sell
- Products from manufacturers without verifiable GMP certification
- Products making therapeutic or curative claims (these would require pharmaceutical registration)
- Products containing banned substances or undeclared pharmaceutical ingredients
- Products past their expiry date or with less than 12 months shelf life remaining
- Products with packaging that appears resealed, relabelled, or tampered with
